— Rising Memphis rapper Gloss Up has officially released her latest project Not Ya Girl: Act 1, out now via Quality Control Music.
The new album, Not Ya Girl: Act 1, comes on the heels of her cinematic video for the album’s focus track, “Ride Home” featuring Jacquees, which she released last month. Not Ya Girl: Act 1 encapsulates the budding star’s personal growth while affirming her status as one of the most promising acts in the female rap game.
The Memphis-born emcee weaves her signature southern grit and poignant delivery with her most vulnerable songwriting to deliver an intimate and relatable heart-string pulling body of work. Songs such as “Can I Vent” introduce a new melodic element to Gloss Up’s artistic repertoire, while songs like “Baddest” and “With You” retain her witty and hard-hitting authentic charm.
