— Portland rapper Wynne prepares for the release of her next EP with the release of her new single, “Dirt (Poem),” and its intriguing new music video.

Wynne’s new single “Dirt (Poem),” produced by frequent collaborator Spinitch (“Nature Heals”, “What Would Comb Do”), features a smooth, classic-sounding soul sample as a gentle backdrop, over which Wynne calmly explores a nuanced examination of a modern emotionally abusive relationship. Over the course of two sixteen-bar verses, (all using the same rhyme scheme) Wynne breaks down some of her own insecurities and frustrations with lines like “took my safety from me now I’m always alert… He says all the right things but I’m, not reassured,” while pointing out issues she has faced with significant others in relationships rapping, “I had a good day somehow you feel attacked, would we have a nice dinner if I relaxed?” The song is extremely honest, vulnerable, poignant, and, unfortunately, relatable for many women.

“My hope is that this song gives other people stuck in emotionally abusive relationships some language to help them understand their thought patterns; to feel seen and understood.”  — Wynne

Wynne’s latest offering is a 6-track EP titled Some Like It Hot, which, since its July 14th release, has garnered millions of streams across streaming services and been featured on some of Hip-Hop’s biggest platforms, including WorldStarHipHop, Genius, The Joe Budden Podcast, On The Radar, Sway’s Universe, and more. Four of the six tracks have received significant editorial features, leading her to be named Billboard’s Rookie of the Month for July 2023.

In the third quarter of 2023, Wynne successfully kicked off her first headlining tour, the “Hot On Their Heels” Tour, performing at over a dozen venues across the U.S. including historic venues like SOBs and House of Blues.

At the final show in Portland, Wynne announced another upcoming EP slated for Spring 2024 release, keeping her momentum going strong.
