— Following the release of his 2023 album, The Patience, Chicago’s Mick Jenkins embarked on a 21-city tour and chose Atlanta, GA as one of his stops.

Mick Jenkins has been nothing less than a breath of fresh air ever since he stepped onto the scene. First garnering significant attention with his classic mixtape, The Waters, followed by acclaimed albums, Wave[s] and The Healing Component, Mick Jenkins has consistently dropped masterful bodies of work brimming with purposeful artistry, meaningful subject matter, and fearless vulnerability. Now, since releasing his latest album, The Patience, he has been blessing fans with live shows during his Thank You For Waiting Tour. Lucky for us, Atlanta, Georgia was on his list of stops.

Performing in front of a packed audience filled with intensely passionate fans with the help of an incredibly talented live drummer, Mick Jenkins so effortlessly fed off of the abundance of energy thrown his way all night. Performing some of his biggest hits along with a few deep cuts, the Chicago native gave every ounce of himself as he soulfully delivered biting bars and heartfelt melodies with equal fervor.

Furthermore, although his music is already filled with deep wisdom and insight, Mick was sure to drop a few more gems throughout his set as he spoke to the audience about the importance of authentic art, self-belief, and self-worth. With the current climate of the world, American culture, and even more specifically, hip-hop culture, Mick’s words were well-received, deeply felt, and much needed.

All in all, having not toured for a few years, Mick Jenkins hasn’t skipped a beat. Captivating the crowd with his words, rhymes, and genuine spirit, Mick Jenkins’ live show is definitely one to catch whenever he’s in your town.
