— Sheetztrck and A.Young, members of Atlanta’s Love Village Records collective, release their latest collab single, “Alive.”
Atlanta’s own Sheetztrck has had a consistent run in 2022 so far, having already dropped three singles this year — “Winner,” “Take It Slow,” and “Only Fantasies” featuring A.Young. Now, he’s released yet another track alongside his labelmate titled “Alive.”
“Alive”, produced by Sheetztrck himself, starts off with a joyful piano melody that’s vibrant enough to lift anyone out of the deepest funk upon pressing play. Sheetztrck follows by delivering a captivating verse equipped with a smooth and bouncy flow before reciting his simple, yet incredibly profound, hook, “I know what the vibe is. Y’all been living in fear so long, don’t know how being alive feels.”
A.Young then comes in and speaks his piece, further condemning the fear of his peers by exemplifying his own fearlessness as he raps,
“Ya’ll don’t know how being alive feels.
Sheetz throw up the beat, I gotta eat, that’s just how I kill.
Yeah, that’s just really how I feel.
F*ck the majors. They want me in pickles, tell ‘em f*ck the deal.”
The concise track clocks in at just under a minute and a half, leaving so much more to be desired. With that being said, it’s safe to say that this track may have listeners suffering from withdrawals until the next release. The good news is, we’ll be getting new music from Sheetztrck and the rest of the Love Village team soon enough.
