— Building a massive fanbase without ever compromising his artistic vision, Chicago’s LUCKI is one of one. The Multi-Platinum artist gives fans a glimpse into the world of his upcoming album, releasing a teaser trailer for DR*GS R BAD.
Presented as a “public service announcement” by LUCKI, the trailer is a tribute to offbeat cult classics, with a spirit that evokes the films of David Lynch, Alex Cox, Harmony Korine, and others. The dreamlike atmosphere welcomes fans into the bizarre world of the album, with a soundtrack featuring an unreleased instrumental from the album.
His first album since 2024’s GEMINI!, home to the GOLD-selling single “RIP,” DR*GS R BAD is a wide-ranging effort that chronicles the rapper’s complicated relationship with illicit substances, diving into the conflict between their positive effect on his creativity and negative effect on his state of mind. The upcoming album is LUCKI’s most ambitious to date, subsuming high-wattage guests and a cadre of innovative producers, including regular collaborators like Brent Rambo and Bhristo, into his insular sound. Home to the recent single “Not So Virgo Of You” (2 million views) and the Lil Durk tribute “Free Mr. Banks,”DR*GS R BAD arrives on May 15th via EMPIRE.
DR*GS R BAD is currently available for pre-order on vinyl and CD. Fans will be able to purchase the album on orange vinyl, regular black vinyl, CD, and a limited edition orange vinyl signed by LUCKI himself. Along with the trailer, LUCKI revealed new vinyl variations, each featuring an alternate cover and a signature from LUCKI himself. Pre-order physical copies of DR*GS R BAD at LUCKI’s official website.

With DR*GS R BAD on the way, LUCKI hopes to shape the mainstream in his image. Stay tuned for more music and information about the new album, coming very soon.
