— For over a decade, Buddah Bless has used his expert sonic sensibilities to craft hits for some of the rap game’s biggest stars. Now, the 14x Platinum-certified producer, known for his tag “Buddah Bless this beat,” is ready to assume the spotlight, dropping “See The World,” his first-ever release as a lead artist.
The new single unites Buddah with BossMan Dlow, who previously connected with Buddah on “Plenty Motion” from his Dlow Curry (Deluxe), and 2 Chainz, a frequent of collaborator of Buddah’s on hits like the Platinum-certified “Big Amount” ft. Drake, and marks the producer/artist’s first-ever collaboration with Big Sean.
Mixing a smooth organ melody with space-age 808s, Buddah Bless’s beat provides a luxurious backdrop for the three emcees to enter player mode. Dlow kicks the song off with his brash pronouncements , before Big Sean spits his trademark witticisms and references his old verses in a double-time flow, and 2 Chainz anchors with signature punchlines. Buddah ends the song with a rare appearance on mic, signaling his intent to reap the attention he deserves.
In the video, directed by Killahjack and Buddah Bless himself, Buddah flies from Miami to L.A., then back to the A, flying in a plane as jumpin’ as any party bus. The producer-artist parties with Dlow in Miami, connects with Sean in L.A., and brings 2 Chainz along as his co-pilot. “See The World” marks the start of a new chapter in the career of Buddah Bless, who has been an in-demand collaborator for artists of all kinds, from Megan Thee Stallion and Travis Scott, to Migos and NBA YoungBoy.
Born in the New York City area but raised in Atlanta, Buddah Bless strives to merge the sensibility of his two home hip-hop regions through his music. He began his musical career in church, playing piano and organ, and learned how to make beats from his uncle during one fateful Thanksgiving. As a young man, breaking into the industry at 18-years-old, Buddah emerged into the flourishing Atlanta scene as one of its most in-demand beatmakers, collaborating with the likes of Migos, 2 Chainz, and Young Thug on their early hits, and later producing ATL classics like Migos’ “Call Casting” and 2 Chainz’s “Big Amount” ft. Drake. In recent years, Buddah produced hits like Jackboys’ “OUT WEST” ft. Young Thug (over 1 billion worldwide streams), and has developed a productive artistic relationship with Megan Thee Stallion on songs like “Don’t Stop,” “Miami Blue,” and “Shots Fired.” The 33-year-old producer has earned 14 Platinum certifications and 3 Gold certifications from the RIAA, and has also collaborated with the likes of NBA YoungBoy, Gunna, Chris Brown, Summer Walker, Key Glock, and dozens of other rap and R&B superstars.
Hard at work on his debut album, Buddah Bless plans to show the world what elite artists already know: that he has the sauce to turn a banger into a world-conquering hit.
Stay tuned for much more from Buddah Bless in the near future.
