Action Bronson is nothing short of a pure artist in more ways than one. Whether he’s putting together classic albums and mixtapes, cooking and critiquing food on his hit TV show, F*ck, That’s Delicious, or anything in between, he never compromises his otherworldly talent or unmatched spirit. Now, he impresses yet again, not only with the release of his latest project, Cocodrillo Turbo, but also with its accompanying short film, “Spirit Crocodile.”
Despite his ironclad resume, which includes a New York Times bestseller, successful TV shows, and a decade-long career filled with critical acclaim, Action seemingly set out to prove that his lingual versatility is at its absolute peak. When explaining his approach, Bronson stated, “I don’t feel like I’m given the fucking respect that I deserve.” Cocodrillo Turbo is Action Bronson demanding that respect.
Released through Loma Vista Recordings, Cocodrillo Turbo includes features from frequent collaborators and heavyweight MCs like Conway The Machine, Roc Marciano, Hologram, and Meyhem Lauren. The incredible production was handled by none other than The Alchemist, Daringer, Roc Marciano, and Action Bronson himself.
The short film, directed by renowned director Jason Goldwatch, delves into the essence of Cocodrillo Turbo and explains the reptile’s importance to Bronson’s process. The psychedelic nature of the visual only adds to the allure, especially when soundtracked by music from the album.
