— Known in his city and beyond for his hyperfocus on the hustle, Baby Money knows that success requires sacrifices. Stressing the importance of keeping the squares out of your circle, the 27-year-old rapper announces Less Is More, his next album.
Over 16 heavy-hitting tracks, Baby Money pledges allegiance to the grind, shedding any and all elements that might drain his energy. Home to the recent single “Armageddon” ft. G.T., the new album re-affirms Baby Money’s status as Detroit’s most charismatic money-getter, packed with words of financial wisdom for his friends, and stern warnings to his opposition. Featuring guest spots from Rio Da Yung OG, Skilla Baby, Chicken P, and OMB Peezy, Less Is More arrives on June 27th via Third Eye Ent. / EMPIRE.
“‘Less Is More’ has been my motto lately. Everybody is always trying to do things the biggest, and run with the biggest team they can, but I think that simplicity is key to success. I don’t mean ‘more’ in the sense of more money or financial success, but a more fulfilling life. You gotta trim your circle, cause too many people demanding things from you can drain you of your time and energy.” — Baby Money
Along with the announcement of Less Is More, Baby Money shares the video for “Ten,” a highlight from the album. Rhyming over a creeping instrumental with ominous low-note piano and funky 808 cowbells, Baby Money unloads a barrage of boss life bars, talking down to those lacking in ambition as he raps,“Make this make sense/You broke and got a gun, but you ain’t even on a lick/You grown and got a son, and you don’t wan’ be rich/You don’t even want my money, you just want my b*tch,” before imploring his listeners to “get up off your ass and go and get it.” In the video, Baby Money shows off his car collection and parties in the D with some dimes.
Stay tuned for Less Is More, coming soon. Baby Money will appear on select dates with Rio Da Yung OG on his “Welcome Home” Tour. Tickets are available now.
