— The estate of XXXTentacion has announced the official date for the long awaited collaboration between the two of the most influential voices of this generation XXXTentacion and Juice WRLD.
Their anticipated joint single “whoa (mind in awe) (Remix)” is due out on Friday, May 30 — X left the original record with an open verse that Juice WRLD ended up recording over in December 2018. From there, early rumors of this collaboration caught the attention of fans and spread like wildfire across social media.
To accompany the announcement, the estate shared a trailer that encapsulates X’s family roots and heritage in Jamaica. In the visual, there are kids playing and soaking in the island life then it cuts to the big lights on the soccer field — a sport that X and his family loved. The estate is also partnering with Epic Games and JOGO Studios — they will be using four X songs within Fortnite including his multi-Platinum anthemic hit “Look at Me”. Fortnite launched a XXXTentacion Emote last Friday and on Saturday, May 31 they will host a one of a kind Fortnite experiential event in the Super Red vs. Blue Island within the game. Fans first heard “whoa (mind in awe)” on X’s genre defying and deeply personal posthumous album SKINS, released in 2018 on Bad Vibes Forever/EMPIRE. The record was quickly regarded as a standout and added to the NBA 2k20 Soundtrack, while the SKINS album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and reached RIAA-Platinum status.
