— Detroit’s ghettotech vanguard HiTech—the holy trinity of King Milo, Milf Melly, and 47Chops—have just released their blistering new mixtape HONEYPAQQ VOL. 1, out now via Loma Vista Recordings.

The release of HONEYPAQQ VOL. 1 came just before live shows at London’s Wide Awake & Gala Festivals last Friday. Additionally, the trio have also announced a run of high profile festival slots this summer both stateside and abroad including Glastonbury, Movement Festival, All Points East, Latitude, Green Man, Dekmantel, Outlook, FUSION, Roskilde and more.

Following a breakout year that saw them torch the Sonora Stage at Coachella (described by Pitchfork as one of the weekend’s two best sets, a truly singular mutation of that city’s rap and club music traditions), storm America on the HONEYPAQQ TOUR, and rack up co-signs from Jamie xx, Earl Sweatshirt, Tinashe, LSDXOXO, Crystalmess, SHERELLE, TELFAR, Smino, Nia Archives, and Denzel Curry, HONEYPAQQ VOL. 1 captures HiTech at their most ambitious: unfiltered, explosive, and impossible to pin down.

HONEYPAQQ VOL. 1

Across a stacked tracklist, the trio bring together the raw DNA of Detroit techno, Chicago house, rap, and punk, honoring the roots of Black electronic music while taking the scene to new global heights. Features include boundary-pushing collaborators like George Riley, ZelooperZ, and Na-Kel Smith, adding warped soul, razor-edge bars, and unruly energy to the HiTech universe and demonstrating how HiTech are the only act straddling underground chaos and mainstage euphoria while unifying global scenes across electronic, rap, and rock in one breathless body of work.

This summer, HiTech will bring HONEYPAQQ VOL. 1 across the globe with an unmissable run of live shows and major festival appearances. See the full list of dates below.
