— Pittsburgh-bred rapper My Favorite Color holds court during a house party in his kinetic new music video for his latest single, “Frustrated”.

Playfully experimenting with creative flows and offbeat punchlines, My Favorite Color is charting his own path through today’s rap game. Taking time to get a few things off his chest, the LA-based artist has delivered his latest single, Frustrated,” along with a dynamic new video.

An energetic airing of grievances from My Favorite Color, “Frustrated” finds the young rapper entrancing his listener with every word as he delivers each line in compelling fashion. He walks all over the thumping instrumental with carefully constructed bars, teeming with punchlines and one-liners designed to amuse himself first, and the audience second.

When discussing the release, My Favorite Color explained,

“I’m not just a one dimensional-ass rapper–one of those rappity-rap-tryna-prove-something-every-verse dudes. I like having fun too, and I’m ready to start showing that. I started to feel like why not just yell at y’all, scream the word ‘b*tch,’ and throw in a tad bit of toxicity with a balance of satire, cause people love that sh*t. I’ve always wanted a song I could punch an opp to, so this is progress in my eyes. Shoutout to my opps.”

The music video, shot & edited by Jack Rottier, follows the Rostrum Records rapper as he wilds out at a house party, rejecting the advances of clout chasers and does a 2-step on the kitchen counter.

The visual is that much more impressive when you hear what My Favorite Color had to say about the shoot,

“It’s so funny because I was sick AS HELL this day. Literally throwing up in the bathroom after EVERY TAKE. Cold sweats and all. It felt like my flu game. I’m Jordan, low key. I knew me and Jack would vibe and make some dope sh*t happen so definitely expect more from us soon. It’s only right, bro.”

“Frustrated” is My Favorite Color’s first new release of 2022, and its unrivaled creativity should seem familiar to those who discovered the artist last year. Following the release of his deeply personal debut album Velma in 2020, My Favorite Color used 2021 to show off his technical rhyming chops, keen sense of visuals, and absurdist sense of humor.

Currently, My Favorite Color is diligently working on his next project, a wide-ranging effort that properly continues the story he started with Velma.
